Calcidan is formulated for easy use with optimum wipe resistance and the best possible weather resistance, with mold resistant properties due to its natural alkalinity. Calcidan produces the typical aesthetic properties of historic limewash, and is reversible in the interests of historic landmark and listed building conservation. It does not form any vapor barrier, even after repeated applications, and due to its unrestricted open-pored property.
